What gets written here
Things that are true on a date and may not be next year: what a provider did, what a price change means, what a shutdown broke. That is a different register from theguides, which are meant to stay correct, and from the changelog, which records what we changed rather than what we think.
Posts are infrequent by design. There is no content calendar, and nothing goes up because a week has passed — which is why there are few of them and why each one is dated prominently.
If you want the standing argument
The landscape page is the maintained version of what a post can only capture on the day it was written: who owns an index, what each provider charges, who is funded, and which services have been retired or acquired, each with a dated source. It is updated when a source changes rather than when there is something to say.
